Our Story

CINDY J. KENG

Cindys Bio

Originally from Asheville, North Carolina, Cindy moved to Houston, Texas, where she met her husband, Ken. Their shared love of surfing and the ocean led them to Encinitas, California, where Cindy spent her days at the beach, surfing, knee-boarding, and working at a local surf shop.

With a heart rooted in Texas and a soul shaped by California, Cindy’s jewelry blends Western and coastal influences into unique, artistic designs. Her 14k gold pieces, known for their signature sparkle, are among her personal favorites.

Inspired by her son’s love of surfing and music, Cindy began designing jewelry that combines the ruggedness of leather with the shine of metal. Now, nine years later, she’s perfected her craft, creating high-quality pieces that reflect her eye for detail and commitment to lasting style. CJK Jewelry is designed to be loved and worn for years.

 ...........................................

I started working with Cindy back in 2012, when I was still in college in California and had no idea jewelry would end up becoming such a central part of my life. What began as a creative partnership slowly turned into something I couldn't shake — a genuine love for the craft, the stories behind pieces, and the way jewelry connects to the people who wear it.

After getting my education through the Gemological Institute of America and nearly a decade in Oregon, I kept developing the line in my own direction. Now I'm back in California, and CJK Studio feels like coming home — to the coastal, unhurried aesthetic that shaped the brand from the beginning.

These days I design each piece with wearability and longevity in mind. I use ethically sourced gemstones, recycled metals, and a lot of care to make things that are meant to actually be worn — not saved for special occasions, but lived in.

At the end of the day, I think jewelry should feel like yours. Effortless, personal, and a little bit timeless.

Thank you so much for being here and for supporting what we do. It truly means everything.
